What it’s like to be part of a Valaurah Farms litter is just as important as the puppies themselves.

The Experience

Bringing home a Valaurah puppy is more than just a pickup day — it’s a guided, transparent experience from the very beginning.

Once you join our waitlist, you’ll be invited into a private Facebook group created specifically for your litter.

This is where we share consistent updates throughout the entire raising process, including photos, videos, developmental milestones, and a behind-the-scenes look at how your puppies are being raised.

We typically post several times each week, giving you the opportunity to truly follow your puppy’s early development — not just through staged photos, but through real, day-to-day moments.

You’ll see how the puppies interact, how they respond to new environments, and how their individual personalities begin to emerge.

As the litter grows, we introduce structured early experiences that lay the foundation for confident, capable dogs.

This includes crate exposure, grooming introduction, car rides, problem-solving activities, and early socialization — all done thoughtfully and progressively.

At seven weeks, each puppy undergoes a structured temperament evaluation.

We provide detailed insights to help guide your decision, and selections are made in order of reservation fee.

You’ll have the opportunity to choose your puppy with as much guidance as you’d like — whether you want hands-on support or prefer to take the lead in your decision.

After puppies go home, the group remains active as a space for continued support, shared experiences, and connection.

Many of our families stay involved long-term, creating a community that extends well beyond those first eight weeks.

Families who join our program have the opportunity to follow along every step of the way.

OUR GOAL FOR THIS LITTER

Hazel and Magic have already shown us that they complement one another extremely well.

In their previous litter, we saw puppies with strong people focus, solid recovery, and thoughtful responses to new situations. Some puppies were highly relationship-driven and eager to work closely with their people, while others showed a softer, more thoughtful style of processing. Across the litter, we saw the kind of social engagement and adaptability that allowed puppies to fit successfully into a wide variety of homes.

Several puppies showed the temperament and resilience we look for in service prospects, while others were better suited to therapy, emotional-support, sport, or active companion homes. That diversity is one of the reasons we are excited to repeat this breeding.

Hazel contributes steadiness, sociability, and an easy-to-live-with temperament. Magic brings athleticism, structure, versatility, and strong workability. Together, they have already produced puppies that are engaging, adaptable, and capable without being one-dimensional.

This repeat breeding gives us the opportunity to build on a combination we already know works — producing Standard Poodles with the temperament, structure, and versatility to succeed in a variety of roles while still being wonderful dogs to live with every day.

ABOUT THIS PAIRING

Hazel and Magic are a repeat pairing, which gives us the benefit of knowing what these two dogs have already produced together.

Their previous litter gave us a broad range of thoughtful, people-oriented puppies with good recovery, solid social engagement, and the ability to adapt well to different types of homes. Some puppies showed the focus and resilience we look for in service prospects, while others were better suited to active companion, therapy, sport, or family homes.

That range is one of the things we like most about this pairing.

Hazel brings a steady, social, easy-to-live-with temperament and a wonderful ability to settle into everyday family life. Magic contributes athleticism, confidence, versatility, and strong workability. Together, they have already produced puppies that are engaging, adaptable, and capable without being overwhelming.

We expect this repeat breeding to once again produce Standard Poodles with a balance of temperament, structure, and versatility — dogs that can succeed in a variety of roles while still being enjoyable companions to live with every day.

Meet the Parents

Magic and Tatianna are accomplished Standard Poodles whose strengths complement one another beautifully. This pairing combines proven structure, athletic ability, exceptional temperaments, and generations of thoughtful breeding with the goal of producing versatile puppies capable of excelling as companions, performance dogs, service prospects, and future show dogs.

Magic, a black and white parti Standard Poodle stud dog from Valaurah Farms, standing in profile and showcasing his athletic structure, elegant movement, and versatile performance pedigree.

Versatility • Athleticism • Trainability

Magic is one of the most versatile dogs in our program, earning titles and recognition across conformation, performance, and companion events. Whether he is in the show ring, on the dock, or learning something new, he approaches life with enthusiasm and a willingness to work. His extensive title record reflects not only his athletic ability, but also the intelligence, trainability, and adaptability that make Standard Poodles such exceptional partners.

Structurally, Magic contributes substance, balance, and overall elegance. He is a moderate dog with beautiful breed type, a strong topline, and effortless movement. His athleticism has allowed him to excel in a variety of venues, while his sound construction supports the versatility that has become his trademark.

Temperament is one of Magic's greatest strengths. He is confident, social, and resilient, with the kind of stable nerve and adaptability that allow him to thrive in busy environments and new situations. He possesses strong motivation and a natural desire to engage with both people and activities, making him enjoyable to live with and easy to train.

For this breeding, Magic brings proven versatility, confidence, athletic ability, and a wealth of real-world accomplishment. Paired with Tatianna's exceptional structure, coat quality, and outgoing temperament, we expect puppies that combine beauty and functionality while retaining the sound minds and trainable nature that are hallmarks of both parents.

Steadiness • Sociability • Workability

Hazel is a silver brindle Standard Poodle with a temperament that has made her especially valuable in our breeding program. She is outgoing, social, and friendly with strangers, children, and other dogs, while still being remarkably easy to live with.

Hazel is highly workable without being an overwhelmingly high-drive dog. She is equally comfortable heading out for a hike, playing in the water, or settling quietly at home, and that balance between engagement and off-switch is one of the qualities we appreciate most about her.

She has already proven herself as a producer, consistently giving us puppies with strong companion temperaments and service potential. Her previous litter with Magic produced puppies with good people focus, thoughtful responses to novelty, solid recovery, and the adaptability to succeed in a variety of homes.

For this repeat breeding, Hazel contributes steadiness, sociability, workability, and proven production. Paired with Magic’s structure, confidence, and versatility, she gives us a combination we already know can produce highly livable Standard Poodles with the potential to succeed as family companions, service dogs, and performance partners.

This repeat pairing combines Magic’s proven versatility, athleticism, and work ethic with Hazel’s steadiness, sociability, and easy-to-live-with temperament. Because we have already raised and temperament tested a litter from these two dogs, we have a much clearer picture of what they can produce together.

The result is a litter designed to produce:

  • Confident, people-oriented temperaments

  • Strong service dog prospects

  • Excellent engagement and trainability

  • Good recovery and thoughtful responses to novelty

  • Athletic, versatile companions suited to performance homes

  • Puppies with the ability to settle comfortably into family life

  • A range of temperaments suitable for service, sport, therapy, and companion homes

From this pairing, we hope to preserve and strengthen:

  • Stable nerves and environmental confidence

  • Strong social skills with people and other dogs

  • Human focus and willingness to engage

  • Functional athleticism and sound movement

  • The balance between workability and an off-switch

  • Adaptability across a wide variety of homes and lifestyles

  • The versatility that allows Standard Poodles to succeed in many different roles

This is a repeat pairing we chose because the first litter gave us exactly the kind of thoughtful, adaptable, highly livable Standard Poodles we want to produce again.

What We Expect From This Litter

Yes — these next two sections are still written like Tatianna × Magic. Since Hazel × Magic is a repeat breeding, I’d make both sections much more grounded in what the first litter actually showed.

What We Expect From This Litter

Because Hazel × Magic is a repeat pairing, we are not guessing at what these two dogs may produce together. Their previous litter gave us both really nice family companions and several promising service prospects, which is exactly the balance we hope to see again.

We expect puppies with strong people engagement, good social confidence, and the ability to recover well from new or unfamiliar experiences. Some puppies may be naturally more handler-focused and suited to service work, while others may be better matched to active companion, therapy, sport, or family homes.

We also expect variation within the litter. Not every puppy will be suited to every job, and that is something we consider a strength rather than a weakness. Our goal is not to produce one type of puppy, but a litter with enough depth and range that we can thoughtfully match each individual puppy to the home where they are most likely to thrive.

Temperament evaluations at seven weeks, combined with everything we observe throughout the puppies’ development, will help us identify each puppy’s confidence, resilience, motivation, social style, and overall suitability for different types of homes and work.

Ideal Homes For This Litter

Hazel × Magic puppies are expected to be versatile, people-oriented Standard Poodles that can succeed in a wide variety of homes.

This litter may be a particularly good fit for:

  • Families looking for an intelligent, social, and adaptable Standard Poodle

  • Service dog homes seeking puppies with strong human engagement, resilience, and thoughtful temperaments

  • Active families interested in hiking, travel, training, and everyday adventures

  • Therapy or emotional-support homes looking for stable, people-focused companions

  • Performance homes interested in Rally, Obedience, Nosework, Dock Diving, or other dog sports

  • Families who want a dog capable of being active and engaged while still settling comfortably into home life

As with every litter, individual puppies will vary. Final recommendations will be based on temperament, structure, developmental observations, and the needs of each family rather than color or appearance alone.

Our Placement Process

We expect this litter to produce puppies suited for a variety of homes, including performance, sport, service, and well-matched companion placements. Each puppy is evaluated individually and placed based on temperament, structure, and long-term suitability.

What Your Puppy Goes Home With

Every puppy is sent home with:

• Snuggle Puppy for comfort and transition
• Blanket with litter scent
• Slicker brush for early grooming
• Calming support aid
• Long-lasting chew (bully stick, buffalo horn, or similar depending on availability)
• Age-appropriate toys
• Cedar chips to support continued potty training

• AKC registration (prepaid and delivered digitally)

How Your Puppy Is Prepared Before Going Home

Equal importance is placed on how each puppy is raised and developed during their time with us.

Each puppy is given a strong foundation through early, intentional exposure, including:

• Early neurological stimulation (ENS) and early scent introduction (ESI)
• Daily handling and structured socialization
• Early grooming exposure and handling tolerance
• Crate introduction and foundational independence
• Car rides and exposure to new environments
• Introduction to problem-solving and engagement
• Learning how to appropriately take treats and interact with people
• Early potty training using a dog door and cedar chip transition system
• Ongoing observation and temperament evaluation

Health & Veterinary Care

All puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care prior to going home, including:

• Bordetella at 3 weeks
• Neopar at 4 weeks
• First DHPP at 6 weeks
• Veterinary exam at 7 weeks

Puppies go home at 8 weeks.
If a puppy remains until 9 weeks, they will receive their second DHPP prior to going home.

The goal is not just to send home a puppy, but to provide a well-prepared, confident dog with a foundation that supports long-term success in their new home.

Pricing, Availability & Reservation List

Puppies from this litter are priced at $3250.

This reflects the level of health testing, structured raising, and ongoing support provided through our program.

Reservations are accepted following an approved application, and a non-refundable reservation fee is required to secure your place in selection order.

At approximately seven weeks of age, each puppy undergoes temperament evaluation. Based on these evaluations, we provide guidance on each puppy’s individual strengths, tendencies, and best-fit homes.

Families then make their selections in order of reservation, with as much guidance as desired. Some families prefer detailed recommendations, while others choose more independently — we support both approaches.

Our goal is to ensure each placement is thoughtful, informed, and aligned for long-term success.

We prioritize homes that are prepared, committed, and aligned with the goals of this litter.
