The Experience

Bringing home a Valaurah puppy is more than just a pickup day — it’s a guided, transparent experience from the very beginning.

Once you join our waitlist, you’ll be invited into a private Facebook group created specifically for your litter.

This is where we share consistent updates throughout the entire raising process, including photos, videos, developmental milestones, and a behind-the-scenes look at how your puppies are being raised.

We typically post several times each week, giving you the opportunity to truly follow your puppy’s early development — not just through staged photos, but through real, day-to-day moments.

You’ll see how the puppies interact, how they respond to new environments, and how their individual personalities begin to emerge.

As the litter grows, we introduce structured early experiences that lay the foundation for confident, capable dogs.

This includes crate exposure, grooming introduction, car rides, problem-solving activities, and early socialization — all done thoughtfully and progressively.

At seven weeks, each puppy undergoes a structured temperament evaluation.

We provide detailed insights to help guide your decision, and selections are made in order of reservation fee.

You’ll have the opportunity to choose your puppy with as much guidance as you’d like — whether you want hands-on support or prefer to take the lead in your decision.

After puppies go home, the group remains active as a space for continued support, shared experiences, and connection.

Many of our families stay involved long-term, creating a community that extends well beyond those first eight weeks.

OUR GOAL FOR THIS LITTER

Stryker was specifically chosen for Ginger because I felt he complemented her in several important ways.

Ginger is a smaller, moderate Standard Poodle, and I wanted to preserve that while improving some of the areas where I felt she could use more strength structurally. Where Ginger lacks in her front, Stryker brings a very nice front, along with more spring of rib and greater overall presence. My hope with this pairing was to maintain Ginger's moderate size while adding some of the substance, balance, and finish that Stryker brings.

Just as important was the kind of dog Stryker is to live with.

He is a terrific family dog and still regularly steps back into the show ring with his Junior handler. He is easy, adaptable, and remarkably good at matching the lifestyle of the people around him. He can spend days at home doing very little and be perfectly content, then head out for an event or an adventure and immediately settle into being a well-mannered, capable companion.

That balance is exactly what I wanted for this litter.

The goal is not to produce dogs who need constant work or endless outlets. I want puppies who are athletic, trainable, and able to participate in sports, showing, service work, therapy work, or other activities when their temperament supports it—but who are equally capable of simply being wonderful family companions.

Ultimately, this pairing was designed to produce moderate Standard Poodles with improved structure, good presence, adaptable temperaments, and the ability to fit comfortably into real life.

ABOUT THIS PAIRING

This pairing brings together two Standard Poodles with complementary strengths and the kind of temperaments we value most: dogs who are capable, adaptable, and enjoyable to live with.

Ginger is a smaller Standard Poodle at approximately 20 inches and 30 pounds. She is a first-generation Valaurah bred-by girl from Lola and Finn, combining a compact, athletic build with an engaging personality and wonderful companion qualities.

Stryker adds substance, balance, and presence to the pairing, along with a particularly nice front and spring of rib. He is an accomplished show dog who still regularly returns to the ring with his Junior handler, but what makes him especially appealing is how easily he transitions between those environments and ordinary family life.

At home, Stryker is content to simply settle in and be part of the household. When it is time to travel, show, or head out for an activity, he adjusts just as easily and carries himself like a gentleman.

Together, Ginger and Stryker give us the opportunity to preserve the moderate size we appreciate in Ginger while adding some of the structure, presence, and effortless adaptability that Stryker brings so well.

We expect this litter to produce balanced, personable Standard Poodles suited first and foremost to family life, with individual puppies potentially showing aptitude for showing, sports, service or therapy work depending on their temperament and structure.

Ginger and Stryker are accomplished Standard Poodles whose strengths complement one another beautifully. Stryker was chosen specifically because of how well he complements Ginger. Structurally, he brings a beautiful front, more spring of rib, added substance, and the kind of overall presence I hoped to add while still preserving Ginger’s more moderate size.

He is an accomplished show dog and continues to regularly return to the ring with his Junior handler. But what I value just as much is the dog he is outside of the show ring.

Stryker is an exceptionally easy dog to live with. He adapts naturally to his family’s lifestyle and is perfectly content spending quiet stretches at home without needing constant activity or entertainment. Then, when it is time to travel, attend a show, or head out for an adventure, he transitions effortlessly and behaves like a complete gentleman.

For this breeding, Stryker brings the structure and presence I wanted to strengthen in Ginger, along with the adaptable, sensible temperament that makes a dog truly enjoyable to share everyday life with.

Ginger is a first-generation Valaurah Farms bred-by Standard Poodle from our Lola × Finn pairing. At approximately 20 inches and 30 pounds, she is one of the smaller Standards in our program and brings a more moderate size to this pairing with Magic.

Ginger is athletic, intelligent, affectionate, and deeply connected to her people. She has the versatility to enjoy getting out and doing things while still being an easy, enjoyable companion to live with. Her smaller frame, balanced temperament, and family-oriented personality are a large part of what made us excited about this pairing.

She is a UKC Champion and represents many of the qualities we hope to continue through the next generation: a beautiful, functional Standard Poodle with the brains and personality to be a wonderful partner for life’s adventures.

This pairing combines Ginger’s moderate size, athleticism, and companion-focused temperament with Stryker’s structure, presence, and easy adaptability. Our Placement Process

We expect this litter to produce puppies suited for a variety of homes, including performance, sport, service, and well-matched companion placements. Each puppy is evaluated individually and placed based on temperament, structure, and long-term suitability.

What Your Puppy Goes Home With

Every puppy is sent home with:

• Snuggle Puppy for comfort and transition
• Blanket with litter scent
• Slicker brush for early grooming
• Calming support aid
• Long-lasting chew (bully stick, buffalo horn, or similar depending on availability)
• Age-appropriate toys
• Cedar chips to support continued potty training

• AKC registration (prepaid and delivered digitally)
• Complete veterinary record
• Tummy care kit including dewormer and Pro-Pectalin
• Sample bag of current food

Microchipping with Fi Nano or AKC Reunite Microchips

We currently feed Purina Pro Plan Lamb & Rice All Life Stages, and puppies are well-established on this diet prior to going home.

How Your Puppy Is Prepared Before Going Home

Equal importance is placed on how each puppy is raised and developed during their time with us.

Each puppy is given a strong foundation through early, intentional exposure, including:

• Early neurological stimulation (ENS) and early scent introduction (ESI)
• Daily handling and structured socialization
• Early grooming exposure and handling tolerance
• Crate introduction and foundational independence
• Car rides and exposure to new environments
• Introduction to problem-solving and engagement
• Learning how to appropriately take treats and interact with people
• Early potty training using a dog door and cedar chip transition system
• Ongoing observation and temperament evaluation

Health & Veterinary Care

All puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care prior to going home, including:

• Bordetella at 3 weeks
• Neopar at 4 weeks
• First DHPP at 6 weeks
• Veterinary exam at 7 weeks

Puppies go home at 8 weeks.
If a puppy remains until 9 weeks, they will receive their second DHPP prior to going home.

The goal is not just to send home a puppy, but to provide a well-prepared, confident dog with a foundation that supports long-term success in their new home.

Pricing, Availability & Reservation List

Puppies from this litter are priced at $3250.

This reflects the level of health testing, structured raising, and ongoing support provided through our program.

Reservations are accepted following an approved application, and a non-refundable reservation fee is required to secure your place in selection order.

At approximately seven weeks of age, each puppy undergoes temperament evaluation. Based on these evaluations, we provide guidance on each puppy’s individual strengths, tendencies, and best-fit homes.

Families then make their selections in order of reservation, with as much guidance as desired. Some families prefer detailed recommendations, while others choose more independently — we support both approaches.

Our goal is to ensure each placement is thoughtful, informed, and aligned for long-term success.
